Restfull APIs not working; Aleph SP 20.2.6

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
The restful APIs on Aleph production do not appear to be working. This may be related to the Aleph SP that we just put into production.

    For example:
    http://alephprod.library.abc.edu:1891/rest-dlf/record/NDU01001407619?view=full
    returns this error:
    type Status report
message Servlet Jersey Web Application is not available
description The requested resource (Servlet Jersey Web Application is not available) is not available.

Because of this, OPAC via Primo requests are also not working.

    Resolution:
[From Ex Libris:] The problem you described connected to the last service pack upgrade in ALEPH.
You have installed the last SP (20.2.6) that requires the installation of new Jboss 5 version and new Aleph third-party products (including Apache 2.2). In order to fix the problem you described you should refer to the Jboss 5 implementation note tab for detailed instructions. Please note that this is a part of Release notes that you received.

This and other SP 20.2.6 problems were solved by the attached Powerpoint aleph_sp_20.2.6.ppt .
