Restore of deleted Bib, ADM, Item and HOL records

Description

Hundreds of  bib records and their associated ADM, HOL, and items records (in the thousands) were accidentally deleted a month ago.  Can they be restored from the Test server?

Resolution

[Note:  the best thing is to *immediately* stop Cataloging and, using Oracle procedures, forward-recover your files to the time this deletion occurred.)  

But, anyway, in this case,... taking the list of bib numbers I was able, using the z103, to get the associated HOL and ADM numbers and -- via the ADM#s -- the item numbers.

I then used the print-03 Service to export the Bib, ADM, and HOL doc records.  And manage-18 to load them back on to Prod.  {Note: since manage-18 doesn't allow the overlay of the stub deleted record, these stub records need to either be physically deleted before running manage-18 (or the b_manage_18_a program temporarily changed to allow such overlay).}

Restoring of the items required the creation of an Oracle z30temp table -- as described in the " Recovering records (such as z303) accidentally deleted via SQL " article -- and then copying the items from the Test z30 table into this z30temp table, exporting the table via the file-03 Service, moving it to Prod, defining the same Oracle z30temp table on Prod, using file-04 to load the z30temp sequential file from Test into the Prod z30temp Oracle table, and then using the SQL "insert" command to copy them from the Prod z30temp into the Prod z30.

Note 1:  in order for these item updates to be properly synchronized, ue_01 needs to be running in the HOL library.
