Result set limit of 1000 in v16.02

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
The limit for the number of hits displayed in the Web OPAC is said to be set in www_server.conf by the line "setenv set_result_set_limit" which defaults to 1000.
In v16, there is no "set_result_set_limit", but there is a "setenv www_no_items_display" which I had set to 4000.
It is still displaying only 1000. Is there more to changing the number of records displayed in the web OPAC in v16?

    Resolution:
    In v16.02 the set_result_set_limit with a range of 1000 - 20000.
You can have a different limit for the GUI vs. the Web, if you like, by having a "setenv set_result_set_limit" with one value in www_server.conf and a "setenv set_result_set_limit" with a different value in pc_server_defaults.
Though it is not noted, the sort-limit is the same as the result-set-limit, that is, any brief list you retrieve will be sorted according to the default sort and can be resorted per the sort options.

The "setenv www_no_items_display" relates to the number of items included in the Holdings display, not to the Search result set.
