    Serials- Item statistic definition

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 14.2

    Description:
    How do we define the item statistics?
    In pc_tab_expand: what do these lines mean?
    ITEM-STATISTIC-1 L no entry ITEM-STATISTIC-1 L Part-1 ab ITEM-STATISTIC-2 L Part-2 c ITEM-STATISTIC-3 L Part-3 d ITEM-STATISTIC-4 L Part-4 ef

    Is there any documentation on this subject?

    Resolution:
    Statistics field handles three types which are defined in alephcom.ini in the ExpandField section: Simple edit

    1.Regular (using ITEM-STATISTIC of pc_tab_exp_field). This is the default.
    2.Special form: a 4 part statistic field (using ITEM-STATISTIC-n of pc_tab_exp_field)
    3.From alephcom.ini: ItemStatisticField=2;SerialItemStatisticField=3;
    This mean that for items is defined type 2 (lines "ITEM-STATISTIC") and for serials type 3 (lines "ITEM-STATISTIC-
    n").
    In this lines you can define "text" for statistic field in tab_exp_field.lng which will appear when you click in "Item
    Genaral Information" screen on the arrow to the right of the Statistic field.

    You may also enter in this field free text up to 10 characters. This information you can use for retrievals
    (p_manage_62).
