    Service pack error: "Could not find gcc prefix"

    Problem Symptoms:
    * Trying to install a Service Pack in Solaris 10 environment results in error message 'Could nor find gcc prefix'

    Example
    On entering option 1 (install service pack) the following error is displayed:

    Please select [0]: 1
    Are you sure you want to install Service Pack 1222 Y/[N] Y
    Could not find gcc prefix. Exiting.

    * gcc is correctly installed

    Cause:
    The problem was caused by an incorrect gcc version

    Resolution:
    1. Change file
    $alephe_root/aleph_start by adding /usr/sfw/bin/ in the PATH variable

    Example
    setenv PATH "${PATH}:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/ucb:/opt/bin:/usr/sfw/bin:/opt/sfw/bin:/opt/csw/bin"

    2. Activate the change by
    source $alephe_root/aleph_start
