    Question

    How can multiple OCLC servers be started automatically by aleph_startup?

    Answer

    By default just a single oclc_server is started in aleph_start:

    setenv OCLC_SERVER_PORT 577${ALEPH_SUB_PORT}

    To start multiple servers, add the following lines to aleph_start.private:

    setenv OCLC_START_HOST "5771 5772 5773 5774 5775 5776 5777 5778"
    setenv OCLC_START_HOST "$OCLC_START_HOST 5779 5780 5781 5782 5783"
    <etc.>
