TPn ... File size too large" in running an indexing job

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 17.01

    Description:
You get a "TPn ... File size too large" message (where TPn is "TP1" "TP2", etc.) in running an indexing job or, possibly, some other batch job.

    Resolution:
The message "TPn ... File size too large" indicates that a file being used as input to or being output by an ALEPH program is too large.

If you see this message, what you should do is reduce the relevant cycle size/loop_length in the xxxnn/prof_library.

It seems that in running p_manage_102 the acc_loop_length should be 50000 --and two sites have found that 100000 didn't work for p_manage_02 either.

We suggest, until we can study this further, that you use 50000 for the acc_loop_length as well.

The "How To Run Index Jobs" has been updated accordingly.
