Trying to send plain text notices via email rather than via a printed hard copy

    Description:
    I have in .../abc01/form_eng/global.trn

    form-print-method EMAIL S

I am able to go into the GUI screens, and send myself an e-mail. That part works.

I have patron A check out a book. Patron B puts the book on hold. Patron A returns the book, and a notices appears on the screen for the staff to print. This part is what we want.

    No e-mail is sent.

The changes I made in the PC's circ.ini and print.ini allow the circulation staff to have on screen the option to print a return-receipt-00 (patron receipt) and the hold-request-slip-00. (In house hold slip)

In the Task Manager print queue, I get a return-receipt-00 and hold-request-letter-01-00.

What I am missing for the e-mail of the hold-request-letter-01-00?

    Resolution:
The site had DefaultPrintConfig 1 ("Preview") in alephcom.ini.

They found that in order to get the hold-request-letter to be emailed, they had to have DefaultPrintConfig 0.

Note: This default can be overridden for a particular print by right-clicking on the printer icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. This lets you select 0 ("Normal"), 1 ("Preview"), etc.

[Note: an Enhancment Request has been created to generate emails even though the printing occurs through Preview mode.]
