Unable to view Batch Log in Cataloguing on test server

We have just discovered that we are unable to view the Batch Log in Cataloguing (XXX01). We get the message "Error occurred while retrieving list". Can you help please?
Resolution:
This was happening because there was no 'batch_log' file in the $data_files directory for XXX01. Running any batch service in the library will cause the log to be created and the sort routine will then have a file to work with.
