Upgrade Express: non-data-pump file used when data-pump file exists

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
As can be seen in the /exlibris/aleph/upgrade_express_1901_2001/logs/log.20110509.102855/create_customer_data.log, the proc was finding and using the (old) ./law01/files/law01.export.gz_aa file -- rather than the new ./law01/files/dpdir/ export files.

The use of this non-data-pump file caused the import to take ten times as long as it should have.

    See attached Word doc.

    Resolution:
    I see the
    rm -rf $uk_root/data/$ALEPH_APP_VERSION
line in oracle_exp_aleph_libs, so it does seem that this should be impossible, but what I know is that these lawnn.export.gz_aa files *were* there in the ./data/$ALEPH_APP_VERSION/lawnn/files directory -- and moving them prior to running the install_utree prevented the problem.

But, since I am unable to decipher the circumstances which caused this, I am closing this without any further answer.
