    Upgrade Express 20-21: "ERROR: $xxxnn_dev does not exist in your environment"

    Problem Symptoms:
    The following messages appear in the "3. upgrade express" logs:

    ERROR: $xxxnn_dev does not exist in your environment.

    WARNING: The file ./exlibris/aleph/a21_1/alephe/tab/user_function.eng was not found.

    Cause:
    The alephe_dev directory was incorrectly set to:

    setenv alephe_dev /exlibris/aleph/a21_1

    Resolution:
    1. In ./exlibris/aleph/u21_1/aleph_start change:

    setenv alephe_dev /exlibris/aleph/a21_1

    to:
    setenv alephe_dev /exlibris/aleph/u21_1

    2. Do "source aleph_start"

    3. Re-run the "3. upgrade express" step.

    Additional Information

    The first occurrence of the error may appear in the ./logs/log/2.log: "A_ERROR: $xxx30_dev does not exist in your environment."
