    Question

What Are The Criteria For Building A Z324 SDI-Ready Record?

    Answer

When a new item is created, the mechanism of building a Z324 record for it is as follows:

    • The z324 Item process status check value must be blank. If not, a Z324 record will not be created

    • If the BIB doc number associated with a new item does not exist in the specified sublibrary, ADM library or both a sublibrary check will be performed

    • A Z324 record will be created if the doc number already exists

    • An enumeration check will be performed if the enumeration of the new item record is higher than the enumeration of the record or records containing the existing doc number

    • A Z324 record will then be created for the item taking the existing record's enumeration and creation time

    Additional Information

    • A z324 Oracle table must be present in the BIB library
    • A z325 Oracle table must be present in the USR00 library
