    Z308-VERIFICATION can not be empty when TAB-BOR-ID-VER-NEEDED is Y

    Description:
    We're running into more issues with p_file_20 patron loads. We see the following in the $alephe_scratch p_file_20 log:

    System is adding z308 type 00.
    System is adding z308 type 01.
    Error (b_file_20_chk_edit_record) : Errors in Z308 Record 004427
    Number of Errors = 01
    Error 0504 : Z308-VERIFICATION can not be empty when TAB-BOR-ID-VER-NEEDED is "Y"

    (The PLIF input record has two ID segments: a type 01and a type 02.)

    I confirmed that tab100 has both DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-1 and DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-2 set to K, so this isn't the exact problem we had previously although it looks similar.

    Resolution:
    Since the type 00 and type 01 were added OK, the problem is with the next ID, the type 02.

    You seem to assume that the DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-1 is for the Z308 key type 01 and the DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-2 is for the Z308 key type 02. This is not the case. The DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-1 is for the key type 00 (the system-generated patron ID) and the DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-2 is for the key type 01 (the patron barcode).

    This error is occurring for the key type 02. A type 02 is a customer-defined type (usually the social security # or the university ID). A type 02 or higher input record *must* have the verification supplied in the p_file_20 input record. The system can *not* generate a verification for this type.
