    oracle_impdp_aleph_libs doesn't populate expected tables

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
The $aleph_proc/oracle_impdp_aleph_libs doesn't populate the oracle tables on the target server as expected.

    Cause:
    1. a problem with the oracle_impdp_aleph_libs import procedure.

    2. a problem with the oracle_expdp_aleph_libs export procedure. It may be that, though the proper dpdir files exist, these files produced by oracle_expdp_aleph_libs are defective.

    Resolution:
For Cause 1: Check the log of the oracle_impdp_aleph_libs to see if it indicates any problem; check the ./xxxnn/files/dpdir directories to see if they have the expected files in them, such as:

    -rwxrwxrwx 1 aleph exlibris 72299253 Jan 22 12:56 xxxnn01.dmp.gz*
    -rwxrwxrwx 1 oracle dba 781684736 Jan 22 12:56 xxxnn02.dmp*
    -rwxrwxrwx 1 oracle dba 4737 Jan 22 12:56 expxxxnn.log*
    -rw------- 1 aleph exlibris 46710784 Jan 22 12:57 xxxnn02.dmp.gz

These files should have been produced by the oracle_expdp_aleph_libs and tranferred from the source server to the target.
