p_manage_17 exits immediately without doing anything

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
I just ran p_manage_17 and it completed in 2 minutes! Note: The same can apply to p_manage_170. (The 14.2 name for the multi-process p_manage_170)

    Resolution:
p_manage_17 checks the util g/2 last-long-acc-number to determine its starting point.
Check in the log file for the message "No work to do -- last-acc-number is equal or less than last-long-acc-number. Exiting."
If you run this job daily and if there have been no updates to headings in the past day, this could be normal. But if a complete p_manage_17 is being run following p_manage_02, the last-long-acc-number should be zero before starting.
In this case, you should set the last-long-acc-number to 0 using util g/2 and re-run p_manage_17.
