p_publish_06, incremental run: "no tar file created ..." message

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct; Direct; Local;

We have not been able to get p_publish_06 to create a tar file of incremental record updates since we upgraded to v19. The tar file is used to synch our Aleph data with Primo. There are certainly records in Z00P that need to be extracted and updated. From the publish-06 job log:

    setenv p_active_library "ABC01"
    setenv p_publish_set "PRIMO-FULL-ABC-CAT"
    setenv p_publish_type "LAST-DATE"
    setenv p_start_doc_number_x "000000000"
    setenv p_end_doc_number_x "999999999"
    setenv p_date_from "00000000"
    setenv p_date_to "99999999"
    setenv p_input_file_name ""
    setenv p_path "/sortspace/primo_publishing/ABC_CATALOG"
    setenv p_update_flag "Y"
    setenv p_no_process_x "04"
    Tue Jul 14 11:36:21 EDT 2009
no tar file created for the set: PRIMO-FULL-ABC-CAT <<-------
    end

Any ideas what the problem is?

    Resolution:
This is like KB 16384-12659 (see link below).

There is no tab_publish_timestamp file in the /exlibris/aleph/a19_2/aleph/tab directory. (Upgrade Express does *not* automatically bring over this file from the old version.) You need to create one, with a line like this:

PRIMO-FULL-ABC-CAT 200901nn0000001 <where "nn" is the date you want to use as the last date>
