    pc_server log: PROGRAM: pc_cir_c0461; Oracle error: update_cursor1 z30

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 19.01

    Description:
In version 19 we are seeing numerous entries in our logs like the following:

    PROGRAM : pc_cir_c0461
    Oracle error: update_cursor1 z30
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Resolution:
pc_cir_c0461 is the "Find item" program. It seems that it is looking for the z30 in a library which does not have any z30.

    I see that the sys50 tab100 has:

    DOC-TYPE-ADM=Y

but sys50 is not an ADM library. (It's a usr_library.) Please change this to:

    DOC-TYPE-ADM=N

Note: In this particular case the site (a consortium) was using the sys50 library for authentication. Starting the sip2_server in one of their actual ADMs did not work because it did not find the correct ADM-specific z305 table with the proper expiry date. Because of this sip2_server problem, the SYS50 needed to stay with "DOC-TYPE-ADM=Y".

Instead of changing that, they added the z30 table to the sys50 file_list and did util a/17/1 to create it. The presence of this table, though empty, satisfies pc_cir_c0461's requirement.
