publish_04 dying: "Error: function missing program < expand ... "

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
We are attempting our first test of Aleph publishing. We have our first pass at table setup and I think I have all of the database changes made. I am now attempting to run publish_04 for our smaller library BCD01. It is not completing.

    The $alephe_scratch log shows this:

    Load: .../utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u18_1/bcd01/tab/tab_expand
Error: function missing program < >
    Error: function PRM1 missing program < expand_doc_bib_avail >
    Error: function PRM1 missing program < expand_doc_bib_accref_1 >
    Error: function PRM1 missing program < expand_doc_bib_hol >
    Error: function PRM2 missing program < expand_doc_bib_avail >
    Error: function PRM2 missing program < expand_doc_del_fields >
    Segmentation fault

A quick check for these executables shows they do exist and are compiled on our server. What is missing?

    Resolution:
Column 2 in the bcd01 tab_expand is not properly aligned. (It's one position too far to the right:

    ! 1 2 3
    !!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!>
    PRM1 expand_doc_bib_avail
    PRM1 expand_doc_bib_accref_1
    PRM1 expand_doc_bib_hol -001,002,003,004,005,006,008

    PRM2 expand_doc_bib_avail
    PRM2 expand_doc_del_fields AVA##

See KB 16384-7698 in regard to the Segmentation fault.
