    ue_01_word: 'Execution error : .../ue_01_word_index_c.gnt' (v17)

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 17.01

    Description:
ue_01_word died twice today (Nov 2005). The following message appears in the ue_01_word logs:

    Execution error : file '/exlibris/aleph/a17_7/aleph/exe/ue_01_word_index_c.gnt'
    error code: 114, pc=0, call=65, seg=0
114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 10)

The value of 'accumulative_words' in the abc01 prof_library file is 'Y'

The identical failure also occured on 13 October, 14 October, and 6 November.

In all five cases described above 'accumulative_words is Y' occurred in the ue_01_word log.

We can find only one ue_01_log containing 'accumulative_words is Y' that didn't end with an
execution error. In this single case it appears that the ue_01_word process was stopped
before it failed, without processing any records.

    Resolution:
After changing "setenv accumulative_words" to "N" (in the prof_library) (per KB 6924) and restarting ue_01, ue_01_word ran normally.
