After upgrading we are seeing the following in our pc_server logs for both our 20_1 and 20_2 environments:

check_permission debug mode is off

Additionally in our 20_2 environment I am unable to log on at all (log ons for 20_1 are fine albeit with the aforementioned errors). I have checked the knowledge base and ran the tests for items with the same errors (KB 8192-2054 , 8192-9303) and these do not appear to be relevant. The tables are there and populated.

Error when attempting to connect with 20_2 client is "User name does not exist"

Resolution:
We decided to abandon the in-place Oracle upgrade and are going to attempt the Oracle 10 -> 11 export methodolgy with a fresh database installed from the AIK.
