    xxxx_STARTUP_LIBS values in aleph_start / aleph_start.private

    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Question

    Are the xxxx_STARTUP_LIBS values in $aleph_root/aleph_start and ./aleph_start.private used by the ./aleph_startup proc only -- or by other procedures as well?

    Answer

    The xxxx_STARTUP_LIBS values are used not just by $alephe_root/aleph_startup, but also by

    * $alephe_root/aleph_shutdown and
    * $aleph_proc/unlock_library

    Though ./lock_library stops any of the following daemons from running in the library: ue_01, ue_06, ue_08, ue_11, ue_13, and ue_21, ./unlock_library looks for the library in aleph_start/aleph_start.private to determine which daemons should be started when the library is unlocked.

    Additional Information

    Examples of xxxx_STARTUP_LIBS parameters are:

    QUE_STARTUP_LIBS
    WORD_STARTUP_LIBS
    REQUEST_STARTUP_LIBS
    ACC_AUT_STARTUP_LIBS
    MESSAGE_STARTUP_LIBS
    OAIREP_STARTUP_LIBS
    PUB_STARTUP_LIBS
