    z07s in xxx50 or xxx60 if ue_01 isn't run

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
It's suggested elsewhere that the ue_01 doesn't need to be run in the xxx50 ADM or xxx60 HOL libraries, but this results in a build-up of unprocessed z07s in these libraries (as seen in util f/4 or sql count).

Also, some of the data in the "virtual" PST fields is indexed, such as the call number, doesn't that require the ue_01 utility for the ADM or HOL libraries to be running?

    Resolution:
Typically, North American libraries do not actually use the "bib" indexes (z01, z02, etc.) which would be updated by the ue_01 in the ADM and HOL libraries. Though the data for the virtual PST field is coming from the item and HOL records, the z07 is also created and indexed in the *bib* library.

You can empty the xxx50 z07 by doing:

    dlib xxx50
    util a/17 [for z07]
