z50 table: what is it? how defined/maintained?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
What is the z50 table? (It's not in the znn files documentation.) Also, how should it be defined and how cleared out?

    Resolution:
Z50 is a locking table which is used by ALEPH when sorting lists of items. It is cleaned out by util a/12.

In version 16.02-up, it is required in each ADM library. (We see that it is included in the $aleph_root/tab/file_list.ADM.)

As noted in KB 3976, a job to run util_a_12_c nightly for each ADM library should be included in the job_list.
