Question

An error is given, "Merge Method should be defined", when trying to merge/overlay a record in the Metadata Editor - with newer version of their OCLC originals, or another External Search resource.

What to check?

Answer

Try to link again a Merge Method to the Resource with these steps:

1. Go to: Configuration > Resources > External Search Resources.
2. Click: WorldCat (or any other resource).
3. Select one of the Merge Methods.
4. Save.
