"The loan due date cannot be changed" - how to override?

Trying to change due date for a loan, the error message is:

"The loan due date cannot be changed".

Answer

"Standard opening hours" were not defined for the library to which the item belongs.

The steps are:

1. Fulfillment Configuration Menu > You are configuring: <the Library>
2. Click: Opening Hours
-- Currently this library doesn't inherit open hours and shows none
3. Add 7 days with opening hours information
4. Click: "Apply Changes"
