    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Alma

    Question

How can the formula for the password of internal users entered in Alma be changed?
For example, to make a rule so that 8 numerical digits are required.

    Answer

    1. Go to Alma menu > General > General > all mapping tables > customer parameters
    2. Change the “password_regex” from
    ^(?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z]).{8,}$
    to
    ^\d{8}$

    Additional Information

Once the change is saved, if a user is added and a password is entered which is not 8 digits, an error message displays and the user cannot be
    added.
