    How to Translate Alma Code Tables


     

    Question

    How can I change a translation in an Alma code table?

    Answer

    For a table with a customization mode of "Specific rows can be customized" perform the following steps:
    1. Locate and click on the desired table link.

    2. To translate the entire table:

    1. Click on the "Filter" button and choose the appropriate language from the dropdown menu.
    2. Click on the "Customize All" button.

    3. To translate an individual row:

    1. Click on the "Filter" button and choose the appropriate language from the dropdown menu.
    2. On the row to be translated, highlight the text in the "Translation" column and edit the text.

    4. Click on the blue "Customize" or blue "Save" button to save.

     

    For a table with a customization mode of "Entire table needs to be customized" perform the following steps:
    1. Locate and click on the desired table.

    2. Click on the "Filter" button and choose the appropriate language from the dropdown menu.

    3. In the "Translation" column, edit the translated text if necessary.

    4. Click on the blue "Customize" or blue "Save" button to save.


    If errors are made, either edit them or click on the "Restore Default Translations" button (which enables starting over).  Click on the blue "Customize" or blue "Save" button to save the table.
