Includes Last Published Record" not ticked for the newest processing date row

    Question

When I look at the "Job History" of the "Publishing Info", I find a list of jobs but the checkmark "Includes last published record" is mostly in one of the bottom rows belonging to previous jobs. Do we have to worry about the fact that the newer runs of the job do not include the last published record?

    Answer

Whenever there is an update in the BIB, HOL or ITM record, the record is marked for the next publishing job. During the publishing job the system checks if there is actually a data change, and only then the record gets published. You can see that by accessing "Monitor Jobs" and opening the report of any publishing job: There are always a lot of records in the section "Unpublished records (update date changed but no data change)".
So this is what you can see in the job history section: a list of all publishing jobs where the record was taken into consideration for publishing, and a checkmark in the row where the record was actually published.
