Physical Location change External Name, or Suppress flag, requires set of titles republishing

    Question

We changed a Physical Location's External Names (Alma > General Configuration > Configuration Menu > Physical Locations). However, the earlier External Name appears in Primo, when filtering using "Refine my search" option.

    Answer

For Primo VE, it is assumed that ongoing internal indexing should refresh the display, soon after the change. If this doesn't occur, please open a ticket for support so that re-indexing is investigated and launched.

To solve this on your own:

    1. Create a Physical Title Set relevant to your situation (e.g. all physical titles in a given location)
    2. Run the job "Recalculate Local Resource Types Job".

In classic Primo, the change of Physical Location External Name needs "Republish Set of Titles" to be performed afterwards:

    1. Create a Set for these records (e.g. use an Physical Titles Advanced Search on a specific Location)
    2. Run a Job > Filter to Type: Publishing > Primo Republish Set of Titles (in a Network Zone select the Job: Mark records to be republished by NZ job)
