If a circulation desk is defined as a reading room desk (“Reading room desk” check box is checked), could it perform reading room loans and returns and also regular loans and returns?
Answer
No. If a circulation desk is defined as a "Reading Room Desk", it is dedicated for the reading room and serves only the reading room functionality. It is not possible to perform regular loans and reading room loans from the same circulation desk.
Workaround:
Create a new library with a dedicated name with its own virtual circulation desk. This library can be selected by patrons as a pickup location and the request goes to a different pickup stream.
