The "Policy" column of the Primo GetIt tab - where is this info coming from, for authenticated users?

    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Alma

    Question

When a user authenticates in Primo, the TOU name (or some variation of it) is what shows up in the Policy column of the GetIt tab. Where is this policy working being pulled from?

    Answer

After sign-in what actually displays is the Due Date Loan Policy Description, based on the user signed in.

For example, if the user is allowed to have the item for "1 day" and the policy is called "1 day", this is what would display.

If there is no description for the policy, Alma will take the parameter name/value and display it.

Thus, it is recommended to add Descriptions to all of the policies.

    Additional Information

    The steps are:

    1. Navigate to the Fulfillment Configuration > Advanced Policy Configuration
    2. Select the policy which you would like to re-name
    3. Edit it, add a description (or edit the description if you have one), and save.
