Warning - Patron has exceeded number of allowed active resources sharing requests" when creating a manual borrowing request

    • Article Type: Q&A
    • Product: Alma

    Question

When creating a Borrowing request we get the warning message:

"Warning - Patron has exceeded number of allowed active resources sharing requests."

But we don’t have a limit for our users for Borrowing resources sharing requests.

    Answer

The relevant policy for the resource sharing limit is the 'Resource Sharing Requests Limit' policy. When I go to the Fulfillment configuration and choose 'You are configuring: institution level', there is only one 'Resource Sharing Requests Limit' policy defined with value 'None' i.e. there is no limit. But when I choose 'You are configuring: resource sharing library level', there is a policy with name "No Resource Sharing Requests Limit" but it actually is configured with value 0 i.e. a limit of 0 allowed active resource sharing requests. Please remove this policy and the warning should no longer appear.
