    Question

    What is the RSS discovery URL template?

    Answer

    Primo:

    http://<Primo_domain>/primo_library/libweb/action/dlSearch.do?institution=<institution_code>&vid=<view_code>&tab=<tab_code>&search_scope=<scope_name>&query=any,contains,<source_code>@@ALMA_IND@@

    Primo VE:

    http://<Primo_domain>/discovery/search?vid=<view_code>&tab=<search_slot>&search_scope=<scope_code>&query=any,contains,@@ALMA_MMS_ID@@

    How to fill placeholders

    Under: Alma -> Configuration -> General -> Other Settings -> rss_discovery_url

    • <primo_domain> = Institution Primo baseURL
    • <institution_code> = Primo Institution ID
    • <view_code> = the view to access
    • <tab_code> = the tab code configured in the view wizard (note that this is case-sensitive) <scope_name> = Primo Search Scope can be used to filter the results
    • <source_code> = Primo data source (Leave blank if a member of an Alma Network Zone)
    • <search_slot> = Specify the code for the search profile slot in the view.
    • <scope_slot> = Specify the code of the scope to which you want to search.
    • @@ALMA_IND@@ = Should be left as-is.

    For example:

    http://primo-customer.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo_library/libweb/action/dlSearch.do?institution=MY_PRIMO_INST&vid=MY_VIEW&tab=default_tab&search_scope=BOOKS&query=any,contains,MY_DATA_SOURCE@@ALMA_IND@@
