    Why do our overdue fines not accrue?

    Question

    Why do our overdue fines not accrue? No matter how far out we test a return date, the Fulfillment Configuration Utility show zero fines. Patrons have returned items far past the grace period and show no fines, despite fines being set in the policy.

    Answer

    Check your Maximum Fine Terms of Use policy. If you want no maximum fine, ensure it is set to None. Setting this policy to Other with a value of 0 will prevent fines from accruing.
