    1. Description
    2. Resolution
    • Product: Alma

    Description

The parameter shortened_due_date_notifications triggers a notification/letter when the due date is shortened because of

    • a recall
    • an upcoming expiry of the patron account
    • a conflicting booking

However, we do not get a notification/letter when the due date is shortened because of exceeding the maximum renewal period.

    Resolution

The usual loan period as well as the maximum renewal period are both part of the regular terms of use, and it is assumed that both parameters are known to the patrons. As only external conflicts trigger the shortened due date message, it is not sent under these conditions.

So we do not deal with a defect here but with intended system behaviour.
