    1. New Job Scheduling

The job scheduling mechanism provides flexibility in controlling the frequency and timing of scheduled Alma jobs.

Currently, the new job scheduling mechanism is available for the scheduled jobs below:

    • The 'Publish bibliographic records to Primo' job of the publishing profile Publishing to Primo (Resources > Publishing > Publishing Profiles)
    • Borrowing Activity Report Job (Configuration > Fulfillment > General > Fulfillment Jobs Configuration)
    • Send Courtesy Notices and Handle Loan Renewals Job (Configuration > Fulfillment > General > Fulfillment Jobs Configuration)
    • The 'Synchronize' Job of all integration profiles of type 'Users' (Configuration > General > General > External Systems > Integration Profiles)

In future releases, the new job scheduling mechanism will be gradually added to additional jobs.

    New Job Scheduling

You can set a job to run either hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.

The time on which the job runs is determined by the value of the Timezone customer parameter defined for the institution.

To define the frequency and timing of scheduled Alma job:
    1. Open the desired job where the new scheduling mechanism is available (see above), and select the Edit Scheduling button.

    2. A confirmation message opens that alerts you to the fact that a new scheduling mechanism is now in place. Select Confirm.
This message appears only once. It will not appear in your subsequent uses of the scheduling mechanism.
