360 KB: Databases from ProQuest: Database Name Change -- May 2026
What is happening to the name of ProQuest Databases?
The provider ProQuest has changed the name of databases.
Therefore, we will be changing the databases name in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases, and the databases IDs, will remain the same.
This change will take effect on May 13, 2026:
| DBID | Database Name Before May 13, 2026 | Database Name After May 13, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| PQGBU | Historical Newspapers: International Collection (2025) | ProQuest Historical Newspapers: International Collection (Legacy) |
| ADANW | ProQuest Historical Newspapers: International Collection | ProQuest Historical Newspapers: International Collection for K-12 |
| PVJHI |
ProQuest Historical Newspapers: Global (2025) | ProQuest Historical Newspapers: Global (Legacy) |
Actions you may need to take:
- If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the databases name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after May 13, 2026.
- If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the databases name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's databases name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
