Alma KB: What is Happening with the ProQuest American Periodicals from the Center for Research Libraries collection? 

Based on the feedback from several customers, we understood that the ProQuest American Periodicals from the Center for Research Libraries collection (Collection ID: 613230000000000083) is not up-to-date.

We have contacted our ProQuest colleagues, and with their help, it was determined that this collection in the Alma KB contained far more titles than it should. Apparently, it was originally created using a title list for a broader product—the American Periodicals Series collection (Collection ID: 612550000000000030).

We will therefore update the ProQuest American Periodicals from the Center for Research Libraries collection with the relevant title list, which will cause a significant drop in the number of titles included.

Customers who currently have the ProQuest American Periodicals from the Center for Research Libraries collection activated are advised to check with ProQuest whether this is the correct collection matching their entitlements. If it turns out that you should be activating the broader product, please activate the American Periodicals Series collection (Collection ID: 612550000000000030).
