Customers may notice a difference between the number of discs shown on the Naxos Music Library (NML) platform and the number of records available in the corresponding CDI collection.

This difference is expected and explained by Naxos:

  • The “Disc Count” displayed on the NML platform refers to individual discs.

  • The MARC feed used for CDI indexing includes records at the album level.

  • A single album record in the MARC feed may represent multiple discs.

As a result, the CDI record count reflects all album-level records provided by Naxos, while the NML platform may show a higher disc count.

No update to the CDI collection is required.
