Bioline - Removal of Bioline International Collection from Ex Libris Knowledgebases

Ex Libris will be removing the Bioline International collection from our knowledgebases due to the discontinuation of centralized access and maintenance by Bioline International.

    Collection Name: Bioline International

    Alma Collection ID: 61111072800322000

    360 DBID: RBI

    Reason for Removal:
    • The journals previously consolidated under Bioline International now exist as independently. Bioline no longer maintains a unified platform for these titles.

    • Broken Links: The current collection in our knowledgebases contains outdated and broken links, making it unreliable for users.

    • No Updated Title List: Bioline International is unable to provide an updated title list due to the decentralization of journal hosting.

    • Website Status: According to their site, Bioline International is no longer being updated, and many of the journals previously hosted there have moved to independent platforms: https://www.bioline.org.br/

This decision ensures that our systems maintain accurate and reliable metadata for library users.

The removal is necessary because the titles in this collection are no longer maintained by Bioline, and the collection itself is no longer viable as a centralized source
