What is happening to the Nature Free and Springer Nature - nature.com Journals - Fully Open Access collections in Ex Libris knowledgebases (KBs)?

    Answer

Currently, we have the following two nature.com journal collections in our KBs:

    ALMA COLLECTION_ID

    DBID

    COLLECTION_INTERNAL_NAME

    COLLECTION_PUBLIC_NAME

    ACTIVATIONS

    611000000000001846

    NAO

    NATURE_FREE

    Nature Free

    678

    615510000000000258

    AJTQC

    SPRINGER_NATURE_NATURE_COM_JOURNALS_FULLY_OPEN_ACCESS

Springer Nature - nature.com Journals - Fully Open Access

    69

As part of the Springer Nature alignment project which was started last year, we have worked closely with Springer Nature to clean up duplicate collections in our KBs and to make sure all collections align with those collections found and maintained by the provider on their KBART site here: https://adminportal.springernature.com/metadata/kbart

Due to the high activations on collection ID 611000000000001846 (Nature Free), we will keep and rename this collection to Springer Nature - nature.com Journals - Fully Open Access and delete the duplicate collection (615510000000000258) as shown above. This decision was made to cause the least disruption to our mutual customers. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work with Springer Nature to ensure we have the most current and accurate data for their collections in our KBs.
