Configuring Researcher Profiles
User Authentication
You can configure a default authentication method and profile that is used in the Researcher Profiles (Research > Researcher Center > User Authentication).
Based on the authentication profiles set up in the system, (SAML/CAS/LDAP) the relevant authentication profiles are displayed for the administrator to choose from as the default authentication option used in the researcher profiles. You can only set one option as Active.
You can change the order of the fields in the column, and, for each field, you can enable/disable the field or change the field's label.
If an asset does not have a value for a particular field, that field does not appear in the Researcher Profile regardless of whether or not you enable the field in this table.
Labels
You can view and change the labels in the Researcher Profile in a series of code tables in Configuration > Research > Researcher Center > Labels.
Open each code table by selecting Customize in the row actions list. Locate the label that you want to change, modify the description, and select Customize. The other features on these code tables (add, enable, disable, move up/down, and default value) have no meaning and no effect. Do not delete any rows.
Researcher Deposit

- Frequently used - This list is automatically calculated weekly from those asset types used the most often.
- Suggested only - When selecting this option, you can restrict the asset types the researchers can select to only those that you define. This option is particularly helpful for institutions doing national assessments.
- Suggested on top - As with the Suggested only option, the suggested options are pre-defined, but the suggested items display at the top of the drop-down list, with the entire list appearing below..
- Default sort - The complete list, sorted alphabetically.
