Intota: Data Optimization - Stay Informed and Get Help

    • Product: Intota

How do I stay informed about important changes that require action on my part, and how do I get help when needed?

Follow these steps so you can stay up-to-date on 360 KB changes and updates to ProQuest Discovery Services. Being up-to-date will help you make sure you are taking advantage of new content and features that could benefit your users.
Each step includes the following: priority, why you would want to perform this step, how to address the issue, and additional information when available.
  • Recommended

  • Watch the Intota Home page for Knowledgebase Notifications regarding content changes that require action on your part.

    Priority:
    Critical
    Why?
When a provider makes an update to its platform or to a particular database, you may need to make a change in your Data Management profile or your proxy configuration file. If you do not make these changes, your users could encounter errors or fail to access valuable subscribed content.
    How?
Watch for the "New! mm/dd/yyy" indicator to appear next to the Intota: Knowledgebase Notifications link under Quick Linkson the left side of the Intota Home page. This indicator tells you that a recent content change to one or more of your subscribed holdings requires your attention.

NOTE: Once anyone clicks on the Intota: Knowledgebase Notifications in your Intota profile, the "New! mm/dd/yyy" indicator is removed until the next time relevant content changes occur.

You can also subscribe to the 360 KB: Summary of Provider and Database Changes document by clicking Follow Me (currently not available) near the top of that page. You will then receive monthly email notifications regarding significant content updates that may require your attention.
