How Do I Include Select Titles within a Database When My Library Does Not Subscribe to the Complete Collection?
If you subscribe to some titles in a database, but not the whole database, use the following procedure to select the titles to which you subscribe. (This is known as making the database "selectable.")
Some databases cannot be made selectable. Details here.
After you follow this procedure, there are several behaviors that you should be aware of:

Whenever we add new titles to the database in the Knowledgebase, you will not automatically be "subscribed" to those titles. You will need to manually add these titles as you subscribe to them from the provider. (In contrast, if you subscribe to -- or "track" -- the whole database and you've not made the database selectable, then whenever we add new titles to the database, you will automatically be subscribed to those titles.)

Whenever we delete titles in the database, those titles will be removed from the database even if you have specifically selected them.

If you make customizations to a selected title, such as custom coverage dates, custom URL, etc., then your changes override any changes that we make to the title's dates, URL, etc.

We recommend regularly backing up your holdings selections for these databases, as shown in the first three steps of using the Offline Date and Status Editor. This will ensure that you have a current list of your selections.
Make the Database Selectable
On the Database Details page, Title Coverage needs to be set to ONLY SELECTED titles. If it is set to ALL titles, the system assumes that you subscribe to all titles in the collection.

Select Individual Titles
At the top of the Database Details page click either the View All link or the Manage titles link in the right side Related Actions pane so that the titles display and you can select which titles you have access to.
The rest of this procedure works best if you only have a few titles to change, either because you only subscribe to a few titles in the database or there are only a few that you don't subscribe to. If you need to make a lot of changes, use the Offline Date and Status Editor to make your changes (a process in which you use the right side Upload and Download buttons seen below to download the title list, make your changes, and upload your updated list of titles).
The other area highlighted below contains the filters you can use to manage a long list of titles:

Show: By default the titles you currently have set to Subscribed will display.

Type: Lets you filter by Ebooks, Ejournals, or Videos.

Filter by: Drill down to titles based on title name or ISSN/ISBN.
Select the check box next to each title that you subscribe to, then click the Edit Status button to change the Status to Subscribed or another status. Note that you should change the status for these titles before you move to another page of titles in the database. If you move to another page of titles prior to clicking Edit Status, the system will no longer remember the titles you previously selected.
Use the Edit Discoverability button (next to Edit Status) to configure whether the title displays in your patron-facing services. More information on Status and Display In settings here.
