Student View Error in the CMS for Leganto Reading Lists

The Student View in the CMS (Course Management System) gives an error when using Leganto reading lists

Answer

When you log into your Course Management System as library staff or as an instructor and click on your course there is an option to view it as a student.

You will see an error because the CMS will obscure the user’s ID to invoke Student View, but once obscured it is no longer able to be authenticated against the LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability). For example, the Student View in Canvas might give a Response Code: 400 error if you attempt to use this view when logged in as library staff or as an instructor. Note, error messages may vary depending on which CMS you are using e.g. Blackboard, Moodle, etc.

Solution: 'View List as a Student' from within the main menu of the Leganto Reading List.
