The Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking tool can be used to add web-based resources such as videos, books, articles and more to a Leganto list. The title, URL, and other details are harvested automatically. Once installed, for instructions, see Using Cite it!.

The option to install the Bookmarklet is available in a dedicated section on the Cite it! window.

Chrome Browser Extension

Cite it! is available as a Chrome browser extension. You can install it by searching for Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking Tool on the Chrome Extensions Web Store, or directly from this link.

To use Cite it! with Leganto:

After adding Cite it! as a browser extension, right-click the Cite it! extension icon , and select Options.
If you have not already copied the institution info from Leganto, copy it from the Cite it! installation page.
Enter the Leganto URL for the extension and select Save. A confirmation is displayed indicating that the settings are saved.

Once you have configured Cite it!, you can use it to add items to Leganto. Log in to Leganto (if you are not already logged in, you are prompted to do so), and select the Cite it! extension icon from the web page you want to add to Leganto. The Cite it! form is displayed with the reference's metadata.

Edge Browser Extension

Cite it! is available as an Edge browser extension. You can install it by searching for Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking Tool on the Microsoft Edge Add-on or from Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking Tool - Microsoft Edge Addons.

Once you install the extension, follow these steps to set up Cite it!:

Select the extension icon in the top right of the browser.
Locate the Cite it! extension in the list and select the ••• button next to it.
Select Extension options.
If you have not already copied the institution info from Leganto, copy it from the Cite it! installation page.
Enter the Leganto URL for the extension and select Save. A confirmation is displayed indicating that the settings are saved.

Cite it! is available as a Firefox browser extension. You can install it by searching for Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking Tool on the Mozilla Firefox Add-ons site or download it directly from Leganto Cite it! Bookmarking Tool.

Once you install the extension, follow these steps to set up Cite it!:

Select the menu ☰ button in the top-right corner.
Select Extensions and Themes (or press Ctrl+Shift+A).
In the left sidebar, select Extensions.
Locate the Cite it! extension in the list and select the ••• button next to it.
Choose Options.
If you have not already copied the institution info from Leganto, copy it from the Cite it! installation page.
Enter the Leganto URL for the extension and select Save. A confirmation is displayed indicating that the settings are saved.
