    PDS in Endless Loop

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: MetaLib
    • Product Version: 4

    Description:
As long as I don't try to login to MetaLib, the system seems to work ok.
However, when I try to login to MetaLib, it launches into an endless loop.

The URL just keeps growing. Here is an example after a few iterations:
    http://myuniversity.edu:8331/pds?func=sso&calling_system=metalib&institute=METALIB&url=http://myuniversity.edu:8331/V/15HXP6T7UMQNHJ6A8AHPGBJ9Y2BBGHFY48KYY1N82AVI53443R-35963?FUNC%3DQUICK%2D1%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261%26amp%3BPDS%5FHANDLE%3D21102009142261962120091042261

The www_server_m_4331.log shows the following entries:
    Oracle error: io_z51_write

    Resolution:
This may be a problem with local table space.
    Check the following:
    1) UTIL x-8 is ran daily
    2) There is free table space (using UTIL O-14-8)

    Running UTIL-X-8 solved the problem.
