    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.2.0

    Description:
    Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-11489
    Module(s): SelfCheck
    Server platform(s) affected: Solaris

    Release(s) replicated in: 7.1.1-7.2.2

    Expected results:
    If the [Hold Request] stanza of the selfchk.cfg is set to Alert=Y and Discharge=Y, that requested items should be discharged.

    Actual results:
    Items with holds are not discharged if the [Browse] stanza has Alert=Y and Discharge=N, even if this stanza is after it in the selfchk.cfg

    Workflow implications: Depending on the selfchk.cfg, hold items may not be discharged via SelfCheck.

    Replication steps:
    1. Edit the selfchk.cfg file, so that the [Hold Request] and [Browse] stanzas are as follows.
    [Hold Request]
    Alert=Y
    AlertType=00
    Discharge=Y
    SortBin=

    and below it:
    [Browse]
    Alert=Y
    AlertType=00
    Discharge=N
    SortBin=
    2. Discharge an item with a hold via SelfCheck.
    3. selfchk returns a “There is an alert. Item is not discharged.” message and the item is not discharged.

    Other information: SelfCheck should process the first alert and in the above case, it is Hold Request.

    Workaround: Changing the Browse stanza to Alert=Y and Discharge=Y allows on hold items to be discharged.

    Resolution:
    Fixed in Selfchk for 8.2.0.
