    Primo: Informit Platform Change

    Informit Platform Change

Informit changed platforms in 2021. This change requires updating the linking syntax, creating and/or reloading knowledgebase collections, and creating and/or reloading discovery feeds. This article will detail the changes for all products with timelines as they become available. Please see below for more details.

The Alma, SFX, and 360 link resolvers and knowledgebases will be updated with the provider’s new linking syntax. Please see the table below for the affected collections.

All knowledgebase collections were updated and released May 23, 2021.

    Discovery Index

There are some open issues with the Informit feeds that went live in 2021. We will update the article when we have a committed timeline for resolution:

    1. Record count confirmation: Informit is aware of these record count discrepancies and they are working to send us update files for the feeds that have low record counts.

    2. Duplicate records: Informit is aware of the duplicates in a few feeds and will work to consolidate these so they merge.

    3. Linking issues: Some links for Informit resolve as OpenURL, which may result in error. Informit has a tentative resolution timeline of March 2022 to resolve the OpenURL issues.

      • Please open a Support case so that we can investigate if there should be direct links (e.g. DOIs) for the affected records in favor of OpenURL, or if OpenURL is expected and we can provide a timeline update from Informit via the case.

Update as of March 2022: Informit is still working on these outstanding issues, and we will be meeting mid-March to review progress.

The CDI feeds from Informit for Primo and Summon were refreshed to reflect the provider’s new platform on July 30, 2021:

    Product Grouping / Feeds
    Informit Collections
A+Education (Australian Education Index Plus Text)
Australian Public Affairs Full Text (APAFT)
    AGIS Plus Text
    EduTV
    TVNews

The previously reported issues have been resolved as of the October 2021 CDI content release:

    1. EduTV dates: Broadcast date was indexed instead of Publication Date.
    2. EduTV and TVNews "Is Part of" indicator.

The EDUTV Informit feed has been refreshed in March 2022 and is now updating regularly in CDI.
