Cannot save changes in rules that were added from a template by ExlibrisSupport user: Error: Save Failed, not enough right

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Primo
    • Product Version: 4

    Problem Symptoms:
    - Some rules were added to the local NR set by ExlibrisSuppoer user
    - After editing a Normalization Rule set, when clicking on Save there is an error:
"Save Failed , Cause message: Not Enough right to edit this record"

    Cause:
When a section was copied by a user who has more privileges, other users can't save changes in those sections.
    This is a defect.

    Resolution:
    Solved in SP 4.4, PRM-18455.
The fix prevents this defect in new copied NR sections but doesn't fix those which already have this problem.

    Additional Information

Workaround to fix the rules that already have this problem: Changing the ownership level of the rule set resets the permissions and allows changes to be saved.
    1. Export the rule set.
    2. Change the ownership (for example, from installation level to institution level).
    3. Re-import the rule set.
Instructions for the export import process can be found in Primo Upgrade Express User Guide 3.1.2 to 4.0x > Changing the Owner for Normalization Rules and Scopes (on chapter 7)
